Mary Murphy

Mary Murphy is a proud third-generation family member in the insurance industry.  Mary’s grandfather was the founder of Murphy Insurance, located in Lockport, NY.  The agency was founded in 1925 and has continued on through Mary’s father, Donald, before she joined the company 1984, and purchased the agency from her father in 1998, upon his retirement.

Mary will be operating and overseeing the Lockport, NY location, in the same office that Murphy Insurance operated from over the years.

Mary is a life long resident of City of Lockport.  She has been active in several community and civic organizations including, the Kenan Center (past board chair), YWCA of the Niagara Frontier (past board chair), The Zonta Club of Lockport and DeSales Catholic School and is a current board member of the Grigg Lewis Foundation.  She is a graduate of State University of New York at Oswego with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  She is also a graduate of the University at Buffalo’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Program.  Mary resides in Lockport with her husband, Kevin Minderler, and is the proud mother of two sons.
